Gorillaz are threatening to release two more installments in the Plastic Beach series. "This record has only scratched the surface of [that] period of work and the sort of adventures we went on," said Damon Albarn, before claiming that the unreleased material is "some really out-there stuff, which hopefully will see the light of day at some point.”
Albarn brought his extended band to Jools Holland’s show in the U.K. last night (April 27), where they teamed up with Mos Def, Kano, Bashy, Bobby Womack and Mick Jones and Paul Simonon from the Clash to perform two tracks from Plastic Beach—“Stylo” and “White Fang.” It’s great to see Mos Def complementing Brown’s vocals on “Stylo” in a live setting—but watch these while you can, because they most likely won’t remain on YouTube for long.
Man, I forgot how freaking awesome that album is.
