Goldfrapp: "Rocket" (Video)

Godfrapp’s Will Gregory may be planning a collaboration with Portishead, but he also has his own record to promote. Head First is set for release on March 22 on Mute, and the band has released this video for the leadoff single from the album, “Rocket,” which was made available to download in January.

It sounds like it’s back to business as usual for Goldfrapp after the pastoral-electronica of Seventh Tree, although “Rocket” certainly has more of an ‘80s pop edge to it than the band’s past glories. There’s plenty of phallic imagery in the video, which should keep anyone happy who has fantasized about Alison Goldfrapp and a big pink “rocket.”
