Gojira: All the Tears (Video)

French heavy metal golden boys Gojira could have made a typical "band covered in blood with epileptic strobe lights" video for "All the Tears" and we would have lapped it up like hollandaise sauce. Typical of the quartet, whose 2008 album The Way of All Flesh featured in many a journalist's top-10 list last year, Gojira opted for something far more artful: a gorgeous 2D rendering by Spanish artist Jossie Malis, rich in dark blue hues and ominous shapes lurking just beneath the surface. The song's hulking tension just got a whole lot more hulking. And tense.
