The members of Gogol Bordello certainly get around—last week they were in England to appear on Jools Holland’s show, now they’re on these shores to perform “Pala Tute” on Jimmy Fallon’s show. The song is taken from the band’s major label debut, Transcontinental Hustle, which is released today (April 27).
Sadly, no collaboration with the Roots was forthcoming for this performance, although Gogol Bordello don’t need much help—this is another batshit frantic performance from Eugene Hutz and his crew, who don’t appear to have changed much after making the move into the corporate field.
I haven't actually seen GB live. Does this performance capture the energy of a normal show?
No not really brandon. Their live show is a lot crazier. Check out their performance on Letterman and multiply it by 20 or 30.
