God Help the Girl: "Come Monday Night" (Video)

Belle and Sebastian's Stuart Murdoch has a side project album coming out in June as God Help the Girl, which is a self-titled musical written for women singers. His usual Belle and Sebastian bandmates back him up though, so the only real difference is that Murdoch is in the background with the new group. Here's the groups debut video for "Come Monday Night," which is a sweeping, beautiful and retro-leaning black and white clip. Stylistically, it's in the same realm as Belle, but it is a bit more bittersweet.

God Help the Girl is due out on June 23 via Matador. [Pitchfork]
