You'll find a sense of longing on just about any Glasvegas track, but it's particularly pronounced, on "Please Come Back Home," a desperate Scottish reversal of the "I'll Be Home For Christmas" motif. The video features some shots of U.K. nightlife, and even with that there's a sense of something important missing. Anyone who's been dumped around the Holidays will find this devastating.
Unfortunately, this video will be the easiest way to get "Please Come Back Home" in the U.S. for the time being. In December, Sony BMG will be releasing a Deluxe edition of Glasvegas' self-titled debut in the U.K., which will contain a Christmas EP titld A Snowflake Fell (And It Felt Like A Kiss). Yet, the U.S. edition of Glasvegas, which is already a phenomenon in the U.K., doesn't hit the States until January 6, at which time listeners will have little need for another holidays album. We'll have more details soon enough, but as it stands, let's just watch this video every time it snows for the next few months.
