The recently released EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\ by Scottish rockers Glasvegas was written during tumultuoustimes for the band. But they put that behind them last night (April 12) when they appeared on Later with Jools Holland to play "Euphoria, Take My Hand" from that new record. This is pretty much what we’ve come to expect from Glasvegas—emotive vocalizing from singer James Allan, who is using a microphone so large it looks like it’s about to devour him, and a sturdy rock backing that bridges the gap between the Jesus & Mary Chain and the kind of bombastic stadium-filling noise made by his countrymen Simple Minds back in the ‘80s.
