Glasvegas just played Lollapalooza this weekend, but they stopped off at Craig Ferguson’s talk show to perform “Daddy’s Gone” en route to the festival. The band members have been on a near-constant tour since releasing their eponymous debut album in September 2008.
Versions of “Daddy’s Gone” have been circulating for nearly two years now, but the band still manages to give a spirited performance here. Their bombastic rock sound assimilates elements of U2, the Jesus & Mary Chain and Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound, but they never really manage to transcend their influences here. Perhaps they deserve a well earned break?
