Portland's Glass Candy would have us believe, that not only do Italians do it better, they never stop doing it, whatever it is. This weekend, Italians Do It Better is throwing a party celebrating the release of the new Nite Jewel 12-inch, but the label's flagship act is also giving away a free B-sides/rarities compilation, Deep Gems.

According to the Italians Do It Better blog, "in between touring like crazy, Glass Candy has been in the studio every possible moment working on a new lp for 2009. in the meantime, "deep gems" is a collection of rare tracks recorded between march 2006 and october 2008."

This track off the Deep Gems release, "Animal Imagination," starts off with a kind of cheesy synth-line, but quickly devolves into this really sleek, track, they kind that they play while models saunter down a runway. They're giving this away for free? [Gorillavsbear]
