Girls: "Solitude" (MP3)

"Solitude," the b-side from Girls' forthcoming Hellhole Ratrace 10-inch, sounds like something you might hear on your local oldies' station, without sounding like the San Franciscans are consciously ripping off of the rock of yore. "Maybe I'll settle down with you," the vocals dreamily intone, but then isn't this track mislabled? "Doubletude" might be a more appropriate title.

Girls debut album, Album, will be out Sept. 21 on Fantasytrashcan/Turnstile. "Solitude" appears on the Hellhole Ratrace 10-inch, out July 6 on Turnstile. [GVSB]
