Who needs a Replacements reunion when you’ve got Girls, a San Francisco duo whose straight-from-the-basement, four-track feedback evokes Westerberg and company perfectly. This video for “Morning Light,” off their upcoming debut seven-inch "Lust for Life" (no, it’s not an Iggy Pop cover), fits the track perfectly; there’s a lot of jumping on a bed, people thrashing around a house, and yelling at adults.
