The original version of Ghostpoet's late-night lament, "Cash and Carry Me Home," played like a somber, alcohol-induced ode to a friend. Specifically, it's a friend who probably usually doubles as the rapper-producer's designated driver. And while that same vibe remains on the latest remix to the Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam highlight, it's received a boost of energy thanks to a new feature from fellow Brit Kano. He uses the subdued, smooth production as a trampoline for his flow that jumps from bouncy to sing-song from one bar to the next. While the remix could have used, perhaps, a new beat, it's hard to argue against what Ghostpoet and Kano have brought forth here.
