Ghostface Killah: "Purified Thoughts"

Ghostface Killah: "Purified Thoughts"

Fun fact of the day: Ghostface Killah is a devote Sunni Muslim. This is also partially the subject matter of Ghostface's most recent offering, "Purified Thoughts." The track is the result of a Red Bull producer battle in which the winner got to create a beat for Ghostface to rap over. Clocking in at just over two-minutes, production winner Frank Dukes puts together a nice, hard-hitting beat with a plucking piano line, soul samples and scratching reminiscent of work found on early Ghostface LP’s. Tony Starks lets his stream of consciousness spill out onto the mic impressively, although, at this point, we really expect nothing less. Starkey Love can do this shit in his sleep even at the ripe age of 40.
