Ghostface Killah: "Drama" f. Joell Ortiz & The Game
A couple of hours ago, my Prefix colleague Andrew Martin voiced his frustration regarding the middling promotional push behind Ghostface Killah's ninth solo album, Apollo Kids, despite the high quality tracks coming from it. Well, with "Drama," you can add my voice to the choir. The beat is another one of the dusty, soulful ones that Ghost always rocks so well, but Joell Ortiz and the Game both manage to kick this track up to a higher level, the latter MC coming especially hard with a verse that celebrates the come-up without sacrificing a sense of grim menace. Give it a listen below.
