Ghostface Killah may have plenty of other things on his mind other than his recent Ghostdini album, but that didn’t stop him from turning up on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (Nov. 4) to promote it. He teamed up with Raheem DeVaughn for this version of “Baby” from the record.
The heavy R&B flavor of Ghostdini is to the fore on this track, with Ghostface and DeVaughn exchanging lines and a full band, including a harp player, backing them up. Longtime Ghostface listeners won’t be totally surprised at this turn of direction, but most will be hoping for a return to the sound of Supreme Clientele or Fishscale in the not-too distant future.
