Get Busy Committee: 'Opening Ceremony' (Mixtape)
Quick-witted, technically proficient trio Get Busy Committee have released their latest project, Opening Ceremony. And it just might their most accessible and successful yet thanks to the work on the boards by producer Scoop DeVille. His approach is heavily steeped in electro, which even leads to a remix of Spank Rock's "DTF DADT."
Just as impressive are GBC rappers Ryu and Apathy, who flaunt their deft lyrical chops with rewind-worthy punch lines and tight deliveries. While we're used to hearing these guys deliver more traditional boom-bap bangers, we're definitely intrigued by what they're doing on here.
