Jon King and Andy Gill are continuing with Gang of Four despite the absence of original members Hugo Burnham and Dave Allen, and the band is currently on a North American tour to promote the new Content album. They played “You’ll Never Pay For the Farm” from that record on David Letterman’s show on Tuesday (Feb. 8), which will doubtless disappoint anyone looking for some classic material from the band. That said, it’s clear they’re long past their peak here, so perhaps it’s best to keep memories of tracks like “Damaged Goods” and “I Found That Essence Rare” intact. Anyone who gets embarrassed by their dad’s dancing at family functions may want to look away when King hits his stride.
Yeah, gosh, this is kind of embarrassing to watch. Get with the times, dad!
if they played their classics and smashed microwaves again it would've been fine imo
