Gang of Four: "Damaged Goods" (Live on Jools Holland) (Video)

It may have been a twist of fate, or the work of a devious booker, but original post-punkers Gang of Four appeared on the same episode of Jools Holland’s show as Editors this week, The band showed up to perform a version of “Damaged Goods” from their classic Entertainment! album,

This version of the song is barely any different from the original, with the band sounding tight and together. It’s a little galling when singer Jon King tries to get the audience to clap along, and bassist Dave Allen is absent from the lineup, but otherwise this is a surprisingly impressive performance.
