Game: "Bottles And Rockin J's" (f. DJ Khaled, Busta Rhymes, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross And Fabolous) (Prod. Lex Luger)

Late yesterday afternoon, Game released the second single from his upcoming RED Album, and it's a monster (I mean this in the pejorative): It's called "Bottles And Rockin J's" and it features a battalion of guest talent. In fact, this is hardly a Game track: This seems like a posse cut off a forthcoming mixtape more than a new single. Since there are so many people involved, let's break down everyone's performance, in order of appearance:

Lex Luger: Clearly dusted off some Teflon Don-era beat and sold this for more than it's worth.

DJ Khaled: Has he ever mattered? In any context?

The Game: Delivers the hook at the beginning, and it's not that great!

Busta Rhymes: Continues his recent streak of complicated verses that don't actually mean anything. He's the poor man's Twista at this point.

Rick Ross: Put the same effort into this as he did on the Maybach Music Group album. Which is to say he's coasting. Better on his own albums, and the Kanye album.

The Game: The hook still stinks. But Game's verse is better than his usual, since he only name checks five celebrities this time out. On his worst stuff, he'll name check 17 people in the same timeframe. Maybe he is improving?

Fabolous: He's so effortless on these kind of tracks, where he just pops in, does a verse about how awesome he is, and gets the fuck out of here. Best verse of the song.

Lil Wayne: Probably recorded pre-prison, and in the midst of a serious sizzurp binge (maybe?). Dude certainly seems high and out of his mind. But still, entertaining in a way that the Game can't replicate.

So there you have it. RED Album due out on Aug. 23.
