“Ég anda” (Video)

Sigur Rós has commissioned a dozen filmmakers to create videos for the songs of this year’s Valtari, dubbed the “Valtari Mystery Film Experiment.” The directors set out to make clips which reflect what they see in their head as they listen to the music.

We’ve already seen a video for the track “Ég anda” from Ragnar Kjartansson, which showed how to save someone from choking soundtracked by the elegiac album opener.

Now Ramin Bahrani takes the same music and adds a darker edge. In his video for “Ég anda,” Bahrani shows how industrialization affects wildlife. It’s pretty harrowing stuff, but it demonstrates how versitile Sigur Rós’s music can be. Watch it below.
