Fucked Up: "A Little Death"
If you're still worried about Fucked Up's rock opera David Comes To Life being some over-bloated, progged-up mess, even after triumphantly stomping first single "The Other Shoe," then just give "A Little Death" a spin. It's another absurdly catchy slice of punk, riding a series of ascending guitar riffs while Damian Abraham shreds his vocal cords once again. The female backing vocals offer the same ethereal quality they did on "The Other Shoe," indicating that whether or not the plot of their album makes any sense, at least David Comes To Life shows signs of being aesthetically consistent.
