Fuck Buttons: "Surf Solar" (Video)

The anticipation for Fuck Buttons’ new Tarot Sport album was considerably heightened when it was announced that legendary producer Andrew Weatherall would be on board. The edited MP3 of “Surf Solar” provided further excitement, and now the band is teasing us further with this video for the track.

The opening to the song is somewhat reminiscent of the howling electronics of Animal Collective’s “In the Flowers,” but the track quickly settles into some jittery, distorted rhythms that are a natural progression form the immense Street Horrrsing. Anyone thinking of compiling an early Best Albums of 2009 list would be wise to wait until Tarot Sport is unleashed on the world.
