![Friendly Fires: Paris (Aeroplane Remix ft. Au Revoir Simone) [MP3]](http://media.prefixmag.com/site_media/uploads/images/media/f/friendly-fires/l_bb5c8de840d72887dab0f1765fbabedf-122531368523_jpg_250x150_q85.jpg)
This track definitely feels like more of a cover than a remix. Belgian duo Aeroplane opts to switch out the vocals of Friendly Fires frontman Ed MacFarlane almost entirely, substituting work from Brooklyn's Au Revoir Simone, so we get what feels like an entirely different song. Also, Aeroplane's beat is really just built around the skeleton of the original Friendly Fires track. Too fast to be downtempo, perhaps too slow for club play, the remix has an oddly glacial, jet-set feel that makes you want to wish it was possible to sleep inside of a song. Well done Aeroplane.
