Fresh Daily: 'The Quiet Life' (Mixtape)
After dropping a more experimental, left-field project last August with the Mothership/Land EP, Fresh Daily was looking to take his music in another direction with his next project, The Quiet Life. And his ideas began taking shape this year, when he spent time holed up in the studio and watched as the winter months gave way to spring. Sure, it's not like the change was especially drastic in his Brooklyn residence, but he began making changes and found himself maturing as a man. He also found inspiration for The Quiet Life while driving through the Maryland countryside. The result is an upbeat, progressive effort from Fresh Daily, who's packed the mixtape with 15 new tracks. It contains beats from J Dilla, MF DOOM, Theory Hazit, Hi-Res, and several others.
