Freddie Gibbs was easily one of XXL's better choices for its Freshman 10 list for 2010, though hip-hop heads in the know have been listening to this guy for a few years now. His rugged, raw rhymes provide an eye-opening view of his upbringing and teenage years spent in Gary, Ind., though I have heard he has since relocated to California. For the visuals for "The Ghetto," which will appear on his upcoming Str8 Killa, No Filla mixtape, Gibbs takes us on a trip back to his home town. The track itself was already strong enough, but this video takes it and its mid-'90s vibes to another level.
