The folks at Yours Truly finished off their Five Days of Freddie feature yesterday with a live version of Str8 Killa No Filla highlight "4681 Broadway." Before Freddie Gibbs tears through this track in the studio, he and Josh The Goon speak on its creation and how it all came together. Make sure you turn your volume up so you can hear his profession of love to Janet Jackson, too, which is obviously fitting since "4681 Broadway' samples her "That's the Way Love Goes." The end result is one of Gibbs' smoother joints, though it's still filled with plenty of gangsta imagery. And is it just me or does he kind of sound a lot like 2pac on here? I've always heard Pac in Gibbs' music but perhaps it's the Janet sample that pushes it over the edge.
