I wonder how it is to be Franz Nicolay; he's got his own solo career, but every mention is sure to be prefaced by a mention of his more well known work in the Hold Steady. The guy is about as good at the loud bar rock as his day job, especially on "Jeff Penalty" this rocking track about the Dead Kennedys fan turned singer Jeff Penalty, which just got a video that finds Franz preaching like Craig Finn always does. Sorry Franz.
