Don’t look now, but Frankie Rose’s forthcoming Interstellar is quietly becoming one of early 2012’s hotter commodities. First there was the sunkissed, cyclical “Know Me,” and now we have a similarly-indelibe slice of buzzy indie-pop in “Night Swim.” Sure things are a little dimmer; an anxious guitar jitter, a squealing, treble-shredding wail, but that vocal melody is still nice and sticky. If Rose can do this a dozen times in a row, she’ll have a solid, memorable pop album. Listen below. [Stereogum]
