Four Tet: "Locked" (Streaming)
Kieran Hebden recently announced that he would be releasing a FabricLive set on Sept. 19, which will feature a mixture of his own material, field recordings from the Fabric club and a selection of some of his favorite tunes. The closing track in the set is “Locked,” which is set to feature on a single Hebden is releasing as Four Tet on his Text label sometime later this year. That track is streaming below, and it’s a typically blissed out piece of electronica, driven by a shuffling beat and huge stabs of bass welling up into the mix. Hebden uses the repetitive groove as a template around which he can work in subtle tones and textures as the track progresses, making this another superior addition to his impressive body of work.
