Foo Fighters are touting their new album, Wasting Light, as a return to form after the blown-out ridiculousness of Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, and this new single certainly bears that out: It's a buzzy slab of modern rock, carrying on like it's 1997. Pat Smear is back in the group full time for the first time since around that time, so we're going to partially credit him for this one. I guess where you stand on Wasting Light is going to depend on if you like the Rolling Stone-courting Foo Fighters (circa 2006) or the AP-courting Foo Fighters (circa 1997). Me, I'm ambivalent either way. You Foo Nerds can debate it below.
