If we're being honest, Foo Fighters aren't still around because they're pushing the envelope of rock music: They exist because a segment of the population refuses to acknowledge that anything new happened in music since 1998. And that's fine, I guess, but don't expect to have your socks knocked off by this music video for "Rope." It's a low budget performance clip that features plenty of a gloved Pat Smear, and those kind of shots of guitar chords that get Classic Rock magazine suscribers hard.
Foo Fighters' Wasting Light is due out on April 12.
"Foo Fighters aren't still around because they're pushing the envelope of rock music" haha so true
You know, Foo Fighters were never really on the cutting edge of music, but they at least knew how to make a badass music video. Now they're too old/bored/apathetic/whateverthefrak to be bothered to even do that, that's the real disappointment.
i never got into them unlike nirvana
