Flying Lotus: "Caravan of Delight"
Are Radiohead and Flying Lotus pretty much the same thing now? No hating, but "Caravan of Delight," FlyLo's latest creation for the Ed Banger compilation Let the Children Techno, could very easily been a track from The King of Limbs. All we need is Thom Yorke crooning some appropriately vague lyrics over the top. That being said, "Caravan of Delight" is still pretty much what its name implies: a delight. Arpeggio melodies sweep upward and downward against an unobtrusive, yet complex rhythmic track, while the walkabout bass provides a steadying influence on the proceedings. If you need something to chill out but still keep your brain working overtime, "Caravan of Delight" is it. Listen to the song below. [Stereogum]
