When I saw that Chairlift's lavender-voiced lead singer Caroline Polachek was singing on a track by Flosstradamus, I was expecting some kind of New Jack Swing-y fusion of 90s R&B and modern electro, but I'm glad this track isn't that (though that probably would've been awesome). "Big Bills," the first wholly original track by the duo, is the kind of euphorically melodic dance track that Flosstradamus never led the ear to believe they were trying to make, but here it is. In true Postal Service fashion, Flosstradamus and Polachek assembled the song by exchanging ideas and music through e-mail while both groups were on tour, but the result hides its seams pretty well. Hopefully there's more new original Flosstradamus where that came from.
