“No Light, No Light” is the latest single to be extracted from Florence + the Machine’s Ceremonials, and it’s been given a radical overhaul by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek. Florence’s voice still dominates the track, as you might expect from someone with such a powerful set of lungs. But Sitek manages to leave his imprint by working in skittering beats and glitchy electronics, which skip along behind the singing, taking the song into a sterner direction. Occasionally it mirrors the kind of work Katie Stelmanis has been doing with Austra, where hard-hitting synth oriented sounds are matched with strident vocal passages. Check it out below. [via FACT]
