Florence and the Machine are proof that the VMAs are still huge: The band's debut album, Lungs, is in the top 20 on Billboard. Now the song that the group performed on the VMAs, "Dog Days Are Over" is getting an official release, and it'll be backed with a remix of the song by Yeasayer. You can hear that remix now over at Pitchfork, and like most remixes, it's pretty unessential. Though if you ever wanted to hear the song with stuttering vocals and some watery drums, get on it now.
The single is due on iTunes on Oct. 12, and later in October physically.
