Florence and the Machine's debut album Lungs is the gift that just keeps on giving. It was released well over a year ago, but Florence is still determined to squeeze a few more sales out of it, which will be helped by this two-song blast of "Dog Days Are Over" and the Candi Staton cover "You've Got the Love" on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The latter even necessitated a costume change as a string section and harp were brought out to help shape the song. Her voice is still the dividing line for many people, and to these ears she still sounds incredibly shrill, although sales of Lungs suggest people are softening to her bellowing.

I love her voice. I like that she has a lot of control over her vocal range. I didn't enjoy the album as much as I enjoy her live performances though. But then again I can say that about half of the bands I like.
