Fleet Foxes: Crayon Angels (Judee Sill cover) (Live on Black Cab Sessions) (Video)

All those My Morning Jacket and Fleet Foxes comparisons just got a whole lot harder to dismiss after this video of Foxes’ frontman Robin Pecknold singing Judie Sill’s “Crayon Angels” for the folks at Black Cab Sessions. Pecknold’s voice floats over his guitar line in a soaring Jim James-esque falsetto. But something about Pecknold’s voice just seems more pure.

Fleet Foxes start a U.S. tour next week (including a few dates with Wilco), and their splendid debut is out now via Sub Pop.[Black Cab Sessions]
