
The second Fleet Foxes album, Helplessness Blues, is set for release on Sub Pop on May 3, and is set to be one of the most high profile releases in the indie-folk sphere this year. Some of the material on that new record will already be familiar to fans, as the band has performed a number of its tracks during their live shows.TwentyFourBit has done some research and tracked down this version of the Helplessness Blues track “Blue Spotted Tail,” which was recorded for a BBC 6 session back in 2009. It’s not vastly different from the finished version of the song, but you can compare and contrast by checking out the ’09 rendition of the track below.
