Late yesterday afternoon, BBC Radio 1 played the newest track from Fleet Foxes' upcoming sophomore set, Helplessness Blues: It's called "Battery Kinzie," and it's a loud-ish one. At least it's loud by Fleet Foxes standards: It's got an army of whirling acoustic guitars and a Robin Pecknold howl. This obviously is just one of those grout tracks: One of those that builds the bridge between the singles. But still: It's good to hear new Foxes material. Listen below.
Helplessness Blues is due out on May 3.
