“Fire Doesn’t Burn Itself” (Video)

Though Sam Flax is a name you might not know right now, that may change come September. The musician, with the help of a full band, creates intoxicating psych-pop that sounds like it came straight from the ’60s.

Today, the psychedelic outfit shared a video for “Fire Doesn’t Burn Itself,” the  opening track from its debut LP, Age Waves. Though the album is currently out digitally and by cassette (sold out), it will be officially released on vinyl on September 17 via Burger Records in the U.S. and Sounds of Sweet Nothing in UK.

Like the single itself, the clip looks like a blast from the past, interspersing vintage clips with live footage of Sam Flax so seamlessly it’s hard to tell which is which. Watch the video for “Fire Doesn’t Burn Itself” below.
