It's been some four years since the release of Fiona Apple's mildly controversial Extraordinary Machine , but if you consider the fact that that album was actually shelved for some time before it got to the fans, it's been a little longer since we've had our hands on truly new Fiona Apple. Apple's cover of "Why Try to Change Me Now" was recorded for the That Was Then And This Is Now: A Tribute to Cy Coleman EP, and although it's not original material, maybe the fact that Apple's recording again indicates that we'll get some new songs soon.
