Film School: Compare (Prefix Premiere)

In the midst of their spring road trek, during which they'll be opening for Swervedriver as well as playing some headlining dates, San Franciso's Film School are releasing a new video, for "Compare," from their 2007 album, Hideout -- and you're looking at that video's world premiere. Just as the Cure/New Order post-punk side of Film School's sound has been recently overtaken by more of a My Bloody Valentine-flavored, neo-shoegaze tendency, so the video -- basically a performance clip juiced up with some eye-catching effects -- goes for a hazy, fog-enshrouded atmosphere whose black-and-white basics repeatedly explode into flashes of brilliant color.
