It's been a few years since we last properly heard from Denmark's Figurines. Their previous full-length release came in 2007 with the reasonably well-received When the Deer Wore Blue. Since then, though, the band has scaled back from a quintet to a trio and they began experimenting with different sounds. But that's not to say they have given up on pop, as you will hear for yourself in the above video for "Hanging from Above." The track is off Figurines forthcoming self-titled album, which has actually been out overseas since last September. It will get its U.S. release next month, when I might have to start saving for a trip to Denmark after watching the super-mellow "Hanging from Above" visuals.
Figurines drops April 12 on the Control Group.
