How do you know when your song has reached the highest flevel of cultural ubiquity? When it is altered to teach ankle-biters how to count, as Feist’s “1234” will be in August on “Sesame Street.”
Feist changed the song to be all about counting to four (so the “5,6,9, and 10” line is gone) and the video is cutesy in a non-annoying way.
Between this and Yo Gabba Gabba the rugrats of today are getting quite the indie education. The only famous singer they had on there when I was in diapers was Jose Feliciano. [Pitchfork]
