While we're still waiting to hear more about Fashawn's planned sophomore album, The Ecology, it's not like the Fresno, Calif. native has just been holed up in a studio somewhere. In the past year or so, he dropped a tribute to Nas' classic debut with Ode To Illmatic along with a pair of mixtapes, Grizzly City 3 and Higher Learning 2. Fash has also been touring almost nonstop as made evident by the above footage from a recent gig in his hometown. He runs through two tracks here, the J. Cole-produced "Nothin' for the Radio" and "I'll Take Everything," with that behind-the-beat flow and slick bravado that have made his releases so enjoyable. As someone who has seen Fash in concert, I can tell you this is a great representation of what he brings to the stage. He's dynamic but not to the point of annoyance and knows how to keep the crowd engaged.
The Ecology is due out...later this year, I hope.
