Factory Floor: "What You Say" (Live At The Garage) (Video)
East Coast audiences got a brief glimpse of the power of Factory Floor when the trio played a few select dates, including ATP NJ, late last year. Anyone else wondering what they are missing should check out the clip below, which is a pro-shot video of the band performing at the Garage in London in November 2011. “What You Say” builds slowly, bearing elements of New Order-style synth noise (in a nod to previous collaborator Stephen Morris) and the steely electro and acid house elements Factory Floor deftly integrates. Like much of their material, it feels like there’s some improvisation going on here, with the basic framework of the song allowing Nik Void and her band to add noisier elements over the top, including some bowed guitar playing.
