FACT Mix 320

The excellent series of mixes produced by FACT just got a new entry, this time from Ramona Gonzalez, aka Nite Jewel. This ties in with the recently released One Second of Love on Secretly Canadian, providing a useful guide to Gonzalez’s influences on her latest recording. It’s an eclectic selection, with Daryl Hall, Wally Badarou, Steely Dan and “something Dâm-Funk sent me” all vying for space. The mix was compiled with Gonzalez’s husband, Cole M. Greif-Neill, and is aptly subtitled Tepid But Tempting: a mix of AOR&B. Is that a new sub-genre forming before our eyes? Let’s hope it’s just a one-off. Check out the mix below. [via FACT]
