Ezra Furman and the Harpoons: "Take Off Your Sunglasses" (Video)

 

Boston's Ezra Furman and the Harpoons have released a video for “Take Off Your Sunglasses,” a jangly, rambling single from last year's Inside the Human Body. The grainy clip was directed by Antoine Wagner and, like the band's sound, comes across as a lot older than it is. But the stillness of the charmingly simple video puts the emphasis on the great, ultra-wordy song, and hangs on good old-fashioned tension. Will Furman heed the request in the song's title or won't he? Watch the video for yourself to find out. I am not about to give away the ending.
