Evidence: 'I Don't Need Love' (EP)

Evidence, of Dilated Peoples, is the latest hip-hop act to tackle remixing tracks from the Beatles catalog. And the California rapper-producer isn't alone in his taking the Fab Five to task as he has enlisted previous collaborators and fellow West Coast'ers for I Don't Need Love. The guests include fellow Dilated Peoples member Rakaa, Oh No, Fashawn, and the Alchemist, the last of whom is working on a collaborative LP with Evidence. Whether or not this project serves as the precursor for Ev's Cats & Dogs album remains to be seen. But I Don't Need Love remains timely on several other levels, such as today being his birthday and this month being the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' break-up.
