Erykah Badu: "Turn Me Away (Get MuNNY)"
Another week, another leak from Erykah Badu's upcoming New Amerykah Part 2: Return of the Ankh. And, like the others, this one continues build the anticipation for her album. As Meka at 2DopeBoyz pointed out, "Turn Me Away (Get MuNNY)" is more or less a cover of Sylvia Striplin's similarly titled and oft-sampled track. But, it's still a fun(ky) as hell song and it's always great to hear Badu having some fun musically. Turns out she actually helped produce the track, too, along with frequent collaborators Karriem Riggins, Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner, and James Poyser.
You can stream "Turn Me Away (Get MuNNY)" at 2DopeBoyz. Return of the Ankh is due out March 30.
